What is Kickstarter?

Kickstarter is a global crowdfunding platform that allows folks like you to bring to life projects from inventors like Ben Brook, the founder of ActiCool. Without it, it would be very difficult to bring this product to you! ActiCool set a funding goal of $5000 and time of 30 days to reach and if possible pass that goal. We did it! Folks like yourself, who like the project, pre-order the product during this process until the 30 days are up. Last updated: Tue, Oct 11 2016 11:02 pm EDT

How to use Kickstarter to get the shirts?

There are several levels of pricing for each shirt to reward the people who back the project right away, instead of waiting until the end. There is a limit that we can allocate for each level. Once they’re sold out, that level is closed, and people will only be able to buy at the next level. We’ve got some milestones to hit to offer additional styles. We are positive however we can hit them and are receiving a lot of help from you on social media to help spread the word. Upon hitting $25K, ActiCool will be able to take the long sleeve shirt orders! Upon hitting $75K, ActiCool will be able to take the collared and racerback shirt orders! If you are not familiar with Kickstarter, please watch the video above, where we explain how to make a pre-order. Last updated: Tue, Oct 11 2016 11:07 pm EDT

How will I get my size(s), color(s) and style(s)?

At the end of the 30 days, we will send you a survey via email to request any info needed to deliver your reward (mailing address, t-shirt size, style, color, etc.). Fill out your survey as soon as the campaign is over. Please consult the sizing chart on the campaign page to decide which sizes to order. Last updated: Tue, Oct 11 2016 11:07 pm EDT

Can I get long sleeves, collared (golf) shirts, and racerbacks?

We’ve unlocked the racerbacks and long sleeve shirts and are excited to offer them to you! Upon hitting $75K, ActiCool will be able to take the collared shirt orders! Last updated: Tue, Oct 25 2016 3:13 pm EDT

Are there extra shipping charges?

We are really pleased to offer complimentary shipping in your order for Canada and the continental Unites States! For international orders, please contact us for pricing. We are looking to find the best deals possible that also include tracking and will be posting shipping rates in the Updates section. For the more affordable shipping internationally, we have an option to send your order without tracking, however this option will not allow us to know if you received the package. In this case, we cannot guarantee delivery and will not be able to resend the product, in case you don’t receive it. Last updated: Tue, Oct 11 2016 11:07 pm EDT

What is ActiCool and how does the fiber technology work?

ActiCool is a proprietary fabric designed to battle heat conditions for any occasion: work, leisure, or sports. Super comfortable and soft to the touch, ActiCool keeps you cool as you heat up. ActiCool is not a finish, a gel, or three ply fabric. Free of chemicals and minerals, ActiCool’s technology is the yarn itself. All the properties are inherent in the yarn, so they won’t wash out. By using a proprietary blend of hydrophilic fibers, we are able to build a multilayered yarn which pulls the moisture and humidity away from the skin and into the yarn itself. ActiCool moves the moisture through the complex number of channels within the yarn structure, before evaporating. Creating a cooling effect and reducing humidity next to the body, ActiCool keeps you dry. The key to ActiCool’s effectiveness is that it is constructed out of multilayered yarn within the single ply fabric. Such structure allows for increased circulation of the moisture through the yarn. Due to the single ply, ActiCool is very light, soft, anti-pilling, among other benefits. All of this makes it not only highly effective, but all around much more comfortable. How effective is ActiCool?

The technology has been proven to cool the body core temperature by up to 3 degrees. Whether in humid, hot conditions or winter, this product is activated as soon as it touches your skin. As long as there is moisture coming from your body, the product will perform its wicking and cooling function. Last updated: Tue, Oct 11 2016 11:07 pm EDT

What is the ActiCool fabric like in wear and tear?

Soft and light to the touch, unlike its competitors, this fabric has no added chemicals or minerals. The inherent properties of this fabric will not wash away or wear out for the lifetime of the fabric. Last updated: Tue, Oct 11 2016 11:07 pm EDT

Can other products be made from this fabric?

Absolutely! More styles of shirts, beanies, gloves, and other garments can be made out of this fabric. If you have some ideas, talk to us. Currently the following shirt styles are available: crew-neck and v-neck. Long sleeves will be added shortly. Upon hitting $25K, ActiCool will be able to take the long sleeve shirt orders. Upon hitting $75K, ActiCool will be able to take the collared and racerback shirt orders. Last updated: Tue, Oct 11 2016 11:07 pm EDT

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
